Terms of service
All students MUST wear and maintain their own safety equipment when training. Mouth Guards, Head Guards, Groin Guards, Shin and In Step Pads, Hand Wraps, whichever equipment is necessary for the activity they are participating in. The following acts are banned during training at “The Den Fight Centre”:
1.Butting with the head
2.Eye gouging of any kind
4.Spitting at an opponent
7.Groin attacks of any kind
8.Putting a finger into any orifice or any cut or laceration of an opponent
9.Small joint manipulation
10.Striking downward using the point of the elbow
11.Striking to the spine or the back of the head
12.Kicking to the kidney with a heel
13.Throat strikes of any kind, including, without limitation, grabbing the trachea
14.Clawing, pinching or twisting the flesh
15.Grabbing the clavicle
16.Kicking the head of a grounded opponent
17.Kneeing the head of a grounded opponent
18.Stomping a grounded opponent
19.Holding the fence
20.Holding the shorts or gloves of an opponent
21.Using abusive language in fenced ring/fighting area
22.Engaging in any unsportsmanlike conduct that causes injury to an opponent
23.Attacking an opponent on or during the break
24.Attacking an opponent who is under the care of the referee
25.Attacking an opponent after the bell has sounded the end of the round
26.Timidity, including, without limitation, avoiding contact with an opponent, intentionally or consistently dropping the mouthpiece or faking an injury
27.Throwing opponent out of ring/fighting area
28.Flagrantly disregarding the instructions of the referee
29.Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his head or neck
30.Interference by the corner
31.No Knees to the Face
32.No Elbows to the head
33.Applying any foreign substance to the hair or body to gain an advantage.
If you injure another student by neglecting the rules of the gym you will be held responsible. All students should get a license with insurance. This gives the student cover in case of severe injury. Students will only be covered for stood up fighting and submission wrestling. Students wishing to do MMA sparing/fighting MUST in their own time seek there own fighters insurance, we suggest members should speak to the AMA. The Den believe all students training have taken our advice and taken out their own insurance before training at The Den. MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is a full contact sport, The Den Fight Centre take all the steps to making sure our students and members are safe.
This said, injurys in martial arts are very common, The Den Fight Centre and it’s instructors take no responsibility for injuries students may get during a training session. There is a very high risk of broken bones including neck and back, broken teeth, ligament damage, loss of eye sight, loss of hearing and even death. By signing up to The Den you are waving your rights to sue “The Den Fight Centre”, you are also agreeing to say you do not suffer from any heart condition or any other medical condition which would deem you unsafe to train. You are agreeing to say you have never been advised to not train or participate in contact or extreme sports by a doctor. Participating in lessons at the Den it is certain you will at some point be injured during training, if you are not happy with this and would not be able to cover yourself incase of time needed off work to recover then please DO NOT participate in ANY lessons at The Den.
Cancellation of membership - Please refer to your contract signed by the member in the gym.
Cancellation does not effect your contract commitment period.
Cancellations of contracts will only be accepted in extreme circumstanmces, upon proof of the change of circumstance. I.E change of address to 25 miles or more away, Doctors note for injury. A membership can only be frozen for 1 month at a time with a max of 2 months per contract.

Speaking to an instructor or sales person at the gym is not accepted as notice.
