Mike Connolly becomes the new British No-Gi Submission Wrestling Champion
Mike Connolly & Michael Poole entered the British Open No-Gi Submission Wrestling championships in Birmingham on 25th November 2012. Michael aged just 11 brought home the bronze medal and Mike Connolly took home gold in the heavy weight catagory after an imprssive take down, staying active from the top position and gaining a win on points. Well Done to you both. Keep up the good work!
Den fighter Dave Parr becomes heavy weight Peterborough Series MMA Champion
The Den fighters turned up in force to compete at the high level MMA competition at the weekend (04.11.12).
Dave Parr took gold after winning all of his fights. In the final Dave was up against a much larger opponent. He stuck to the game plan, drew his opponent in with some striking, performed a take down and won the fight by impressively pinning his huge opponent whilst utilising ground and pound at ever opportunity possible.
Lyndon Adams aged just 6 took part in his first ever
Kickboxing fight and did an amazing job. Lyndon showed great courage as he pushed forwards with combinations of kicks and punches. Lyndon went home with a big bronze trophie and a huge smile.
UFC Fighter John Maguire enters The Den
UFC's John "The One" Maguire is coming to The Den Fight Centre on the 17th June. John is notorious for his Gypsy Jujitsu and MMA and is coming to teach The Den members a few techniques and give them all a few pointers. THIS SEMINAR IS FREE TO ALL OF OUR MEMBERS.
Den Fighters Set for Fight Uk Show
Dave Cook & Dan Pearce are training hard for their debut cage fights at the Leicester show "Fight UK" on the 23rd of June. The Den Fight Centre students are all invited to support their fellow members.
Dave & Dan pass Jujitsu grading with flying colours
Dave Cook & Dan Pearce passed their grading in Jujitsu on the 29th April. After a grueling grading both students performed their syllabus technically to a high standard and have been awarded their green belt. Keep up the good work!
The Den take gold at Boston MMA competition
A number of students turned out to fight on the22nd April at the Boston MMA competition. Students faught very aggressively whilst using their techniques to take home a number of trophies.
